“Sometimes I have to stop listening to a Pierce Pettis track halfway through because he makes me want to give up on songwriting. Pierce is a master musical storyteller, delivering human truth and heartbreaking vulnerability with every tune. He’s also an unnecessarily virtuosic guitarist with the voice of some beautiful angel who also happens to be your old, familiar friend. All of it completely unfair.”
- Justin Paul, writer/composer "La La Land", "Dear Evan Hansen"
"...all Pettis has to offer is his earnest best, a tender heart, packaged in one three-and-a-half minute song after another."
-Jason Killingsworth, Paste Magazine
"Pierce Pettis bares a gentle soul with a keen eye, a soulful voice, and perfect guitar accompaniment for his beautiful songs - a masterful poet treasure"
-Darrell Scott, songwriter/recording artist
"I have loved Pierce's music for many years now-he has the gift of a true inner compass."
-Eliza Gilkyson, songwriter/recording artist
“Pierce Pettis doesn’t write mere songs, he writes literature...End to end the songwriting is brilliant...Pierce Pettis albums are events in my listening. His writing just gets better all the time and his singing is marvelous, wry and warm..." -Sing Out!
"...One of the more vital and critically acclaimed folk stars of recent years."
-Performing Songwriter Magazine

Happy Hanukkah & Merry Christmas! 🎅🎄☃️
Wow! This year has really flown by and it’s time again for my annual Florida Christmas Tour. But first, I’d just like to say a BIG THANKS to all who came out to hear me or watched my livestreams this year. You're the reason I do this. And you make it possible for me to do this. Thanks to you, I’m working 👍
This month I head down to the Sunshine State, stopping off first in Jacksonville, once again playing the Mudville Music Room for all my old friends there. And speaking of old friends, the following night I’m in Tallahassee joining my pal, Del Suggs (and the Allstar Band) for our 37th “Almost Christmas” show. Then I head down to Gator country, back at the wonderful Heartwood Soundstage in Gainesville —truly one of the best small concert halls in the US! Rounding out the Florida tour, I’ll be down in Tampa, doing a house concert for my friend and fellow musician, Michel Handley. And my last stop in Florida will be near Orlando, doing Wayne House Concerts in Altamonte Springs.
All my shows this month will feature a special set of material I do only during the holidays, like “Miriam” and “If It Wasn’t For the Night”, among others.
And for all of you who can’t make it to my shows in Florida this month, no worries! My final show of the year will be a Christmas Livestream, broadcast live on YouTube from my home on Lookout Mountain. And I’ll be doing the same show as in Florida. So wherever you live, you won’t miss out.
Happy Holidays! 👍 —Pierce
